For your safety ....
Øygarden Aquaculture Centre is concerned with ensuring that all visitors have a safe and pleasant boat trip and visit to the fish farm. We therefore lend visitors life jackets and ask that they sit still in the boat.
Visitors have an opportunity to walk along the walkways at the fish farm to take a closer look at the fish. The walkways are like narrow, floating paths and visitors must take care not to step off the walkway and fall into the sea. Visitors are therefore required to wear life jackets at the fish farm as well. There are also life buoys at the fish farm.
We produce fish for consumption. The fish are livestock, and they must be carefully husbanded. Visitors must not throw anything to the fish. During the guided tour, there will be an opportunity to feed the fish.
Children cannot visit the fish farm unless supervised by adults. Nor are children permitted to walk on the walkways on their own. Smoking is prohibited at the fish farm.
Øygarden Aquaculture Centre has limited liability for visitors, and visitors must follow our instructions to ensure their safety.
